Mark Your Calendar: Key Tax Deadlines for UK Businesses
Keeping track of tax deadlines is critical to avoid penalties and ensure compliance. Here are the major dates to remember for the 2024 tax year:
Self-Assessment Deadlines
Paper Return Deadline: 31 October 2024
Online Return Deadline: 31 January 2025
Payment Deadline: 31 January 2025 for the previous year’s tax.
Corporation Tax Deadlines
Filing Deadline: 12 months after the end of the accounting period.
Payment Deadline: 9 months and 1 day after the end of the accounting period.
VAT Deadlines
Quarterly VAT Returns are due 1 month and 7 days after the quarter ends.
Ensure VAT payments are made by this date.
Payroll (PAYE) Deadlines
Submit Full Payment Submission (FPS) every payday.
Pay PAYE tax and National Insurance by the 22nd of the following month (or 19th if paying by post).
